GOD IN MAN

”And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.“
Revelation 21:3 NKJV

In his second letter to the Corinth church, Paul writes in chapter six and verse sixteen: what agreement has the temple of God with idols? You are the temple of the living God.

The mystery of an infinite God in a mortal frail body seems to be the hardest to grasp but it radically transforms how you live when you grasp it. Think of the King of Kings, the Lord of the universe choosing not just nearness but Oneness with you.

It is not just about leading a merely ‘good’ life as per the standards of the world. It is about being a carrier of the presence. It is understanding the transformative power of salvation. It is knowing that when you inflict yourself with hard drinks and have a sordid hangover the next morning, you are not separated from that oneness.

It is knowing that when you fornicate, you are not separated from the living God in you. Not because He would condone such things done to His own body, but because His commitment to you is to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and He is faithful to us even when we are faithless toward Him for He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13).

It is knowing that you cannot just attend anything anywhere simply because you have the means and the time, it is the understanding that your presence literally connotes God’s and that your agreement presupposes His has been made.

Child of God, if you carry this understanding, you will think twice about where you go, what you wear, how you treat your body, how you feed yourself, and ultimately how you care for others for you won’t see them for them but for Christ in them.

Come up higher. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I thank you for the unspeakable privilege and gift it is to carry your presence. I thank you for your trustworthiness, that even when I fall short you remain the same. I exercise my self to godliness daily as an ambassador that your name will be glorified among both believers and non believers alike. Your strength is my shield and the fear of God my wisdom, and with these I can never fail in Jesus name. Amen!
