IN THE MIDST OF TRANSITIONS

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.” Isaiah 6:1 NIV

Often times when some major events are happening around us, it is often telling of transitions that are upcoming.

The year 2024 thus far has been peculiar in more ways than one by being a leap year, having an eclipse, countless laws passed that were unthinkable just a few years ago, appointment and demotions of leaders that we almost thought were immortal due to the caliber of their journeys and more is yet to come.

In our theme scripture, the prophet Isaiah speaks of a king named Uzziah because he was a notable king of Judah under whom peace and progress had reigned in the land. Mentioning it as the point of reference indicates that there must have been anxiety among the people as to what would happen now that their capable king was no more, yet in the same parallel that very year was when Isaiah was given the most notable prophetic vision of Our Messiah.

Child of God, whenever circumstances seems to be pushing you to cave in, experience almost unbearable pressure and the world as you know it seems to be moving off its axis, be still and sensitive to the spirit. An undeniable parallel is undoubtedly unfolding in the realm of the spirit, and is an invitation to you, just as it was to the prophet Isaiah to seek the mind of God.

The scriptures comfort us with such a powerful message: where sin abounds, grace abounds even more (Romans 5:20). This is the blessed assurance, and invitation to LOOK UP for nothing you see is too big or bad for God to handle. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. The legitimacy of your word is found in its immutability. You remain the same yesterday, today and forever and for this reason my Lord, you can be trusted against all odds and above all fears. I rest in this blessed assurance and follow your lead with faith and action for I know you are able to keep all that is committed to you in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
