JUDGING RIGHTLY
“The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.” Psalms 34:22 NIV
I have oftentimes heard stories of individuals who are stricken down by tribulations for a little while and tribulation has a way to reveal the substance of your faith.
Faith is present in the hearts of men who know they have been ransomed. There are circumstances that befall men and prove that some were actually just a few trials away from deserting their Lord. But how foolish is it to think that one would redeem you with his blood, die on a cross, only to kill you afterwards? You may not have realized that in the New Testament, very few are the stories of men who were stricken down dead because of sin if they had believed in the Messiah. Why is that? Because when the Lord looks on us, He sees His son in us.
Child of God, that is what David is saying in our theme scripture. Believe the Lord at his word, that you shall never be left nor forsaken, that you won’t be given to ruin because your God is your friend and He guards you. Let that reality sink so deep that it is unshakable. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Loving Father, I thank you for this word. You are the father that loves with no bounds, the friend that sticks closer than a brother, the Lord that fights and wins every battle and most importantly the redeemer who saved my soul. Far be it from me to judge you foolishly. It shall be said of me that even in the midst of my fiercest trials, I knew you as good, faithful and true, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
