NECESSITY FOR EVANGELISM
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 NIV
Many times when we hear words like evangelism or discipleship we shudder at thought of the responsibility or quickly assume its for those with a calling and abdicate the responsibility.
However, we are ALL COMMISSIONED to bear witness, and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19); and not just that, there is no man I have ever seen who has been fully persuaded of the Lordship of Jesus and keeps it to themselves.
In our theme scripture, a prophetic word is given to Daniel that those who have imparted wisdom (the wisdom of God) will shine like the firmament of the sky. Child of God, whether you worked diligently at instilling godly values and God’s word in your children at home, serving in any capacity, or on the pulpit before masses and nations — the measure of faith and the grace given you is what you will be held accountable for.
Do not dismiss the blessing which has been bestowed upon you in the person of the Holy Spirit. By Him, you know all things. Praise God!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. It shall be said of me that I used every good and perfect gift you granted me to impart the wisdom which you freely gave me. May I never forget that freely was I given, and freely will I give. It is my life’s honor to share of your goodness, in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
