NO FAVORITES

“Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
Acts 10:34-35 NIV

As humans, we naturally develop preferences—gravitating toward certain people, places, or situations based on personal biases or comfort.

It’s part of our nature. But God operates on an entirely different level. He is not swayed by status, background, or outward appearance.God looks beyond the surface and into the heart. He welcomes anyone—regardless of nationality, background, or past—who earnestly seeks Him and chooses to walk in righteousness. His promise in Jeremiah 29:13 assures us that when we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him. So let us not fall into the trap of comparison or competition. In the kingdom of God, favoritism has no place. Instead, each of us is called to pursue our journey with reverence and humility, trusting that it is God who works within us, empowering us to desire and do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:12-13).

Praise God for His just and merciful heart!

Prayer: Father, I thank You for being a God who shows no favoritism. You see us for who we truly are and meet each of us with grace, love, and truth. Help us to seek You with undivided hearts and to walk in Your ways without comparing ourselves to others. Teach us to value others the way You do, and to rest in the assurance that You are working within us for Your good pleasure. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
