OF TEMPERANCE
”Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.“
Men are weighed against fruit. Fruit is a product of an already established and ongoing process of transformation happening in the heart of a man that is yielded to a power greater than their own.
Remember, God is gentle and does not force himself against your will, but He is willing to provide wisdom for all those that seek for it in truth and sincerity.
In our theme scripture, Paul speaks of a moderation that must be felt and seen simply by how one lives. Being a believer as we have often spoken, is being an ambassador of the new kingdom to which you now belong and there are ruling powers of that kingdom that establish patterns and principles by which if one abides, will without question reap good, but also bear fruit that comes from the unseen work being done in them.
Child of God, the nearness of God calls us to understand the responsibility of carrying such a great gift. It calls us to do all that we do with consideration for the souls around us whose eyes are still veiled. Your life is the greatest testament of the work God does in you daily, spend it faithfully. Selah!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit that teaches me into all truth. I yield continuously to His mandate in my life because I know only He searches even the deep secrets of God. Be glorified in all that I am and do, through Christ my savior. Amen!
