STRENGTH UNDER CONTROL
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 NIV
Unlike popular belief, meekness as highlighted by our Lord Jesus is not weakness, but strength under control.
In Matthew 26:53, Jesus clearly states that He could call to the Father and twelve legions of angels could be put to His disposal, such is the power that He had access to — but chose not to use it if it meant for God’s purposes to be fulfilled.
As a believer, you should never take the same power that rose Jesus being in you lightly (Romans 8:11). Use your mouth to bless and not to curse, understand that your words carry the power of the son of God, just as you are. Praise God!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus and for this reason my mouth speaks life into dead places and imputes righteousness in all things, to the glory of
your name. Amen!
