THE ASSURANCE OF HIS WORD (II)
“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.” Proverbs 26:2 NLT
Yesterday, we explored the contrast between worldly opinions and the assurance found in God’s Word.
Today, let’s consider how repeated negative words can form what may feel or stand as curses, especially when we’ve unknowingly agreed with them. Many walk through life believing they are failures because they’ve been told repeatedly that they’d never amount to anything. Some give up on their goals after hearing they’ll never succeed.
Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and many destinies are altered when people accept such words as truth. But Proverbs 26:2 assures us that no curse without cause will prevail. God’s word is the final authority.
Sometimes, the deliverance we seek doesn’t come from others’ prayers but from a personal choice to reject the lies spoken over us and align ourselves with God’s truth about our identity in Christ.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the assurance that no curse without cause will take root in our lives. Help us to reject every negative word spoken over us and align ourselves with Your truth. Strengthen us to stand firm in the promises You have spoken over our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
