THE COMMUNICATION OF YOUR FAITH

“I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Philemon 1:4-6 NKJV

Jesus tells us in Luke 6:45 that whatever fills a person’s heart will eventually flow from their mouth.

In other words, your words are a reflection of your inner life. If your heart is full of love, it will show. If it’s weighed down with anger, bitterness, or envy, that too will make its way into your speech. Paul, in our theme scripture, emphasizes the same principle—when we are people of faith, our words should mirror that faith. The way we speak, share, and express ourselves should point to Christ in us. Every time you speak in alignment with Him, you’re actively recognizing the goodness He’s placed within you. And let’s not forget—Jesus said only God is truly good (Luke 18:19), so any goodness we reflect is really just Him shining through us. So, dear child of God, be intentional with your words. Speak from the well of grace that God has dug deep within you. Let your conversations be filled with light, truth, and love—evidence of your intimacy with Jesus.

May those who hear you not only recognize your faith but be drawn to glorify Him because of it.

Prayer: Father, thank You for filling my heart with Your love. I choose to speak from that abundance—words full of grace, truth, and life. Let it be said of me that I communicated You well, because Your love shaped my every expression. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
