THE COMPLETE WORD

“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4 NKJV

All scripture has been written for instruction and learning. We do not get to pick and choose what to obey and what not to.

When it comes to the Old Testament, many believers tend to omit or disregard it thinking that they are not under the law. While that is correct, the law still revealed God’s perfection and reveals Christ. Simply put you cannot fully appreciate the New Testament without the hindsight of its counterpart, which would have never earned us right standing with God.

Make a resolve to take God at His word, all of it. The reward of obedience is fruit in every season, as one planted by streams of water (Psalm 1:3).

Prayer: Father I thank you for this truth. I delight in all your counsel without preference for I know you can be trusted in all your ways. Strengthen me in my inner man to take correction full face, for I know you correct those whom you love, in Jesus name. Amen!
