THE PLACE OF TRUST IN PREPARATION
“The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.” Proverbs 21:31 NLT
Christians ought to be men and women of faith. In faith however, there is a place of preparation, and here is where many of us have had it wrong for a long time.
You cannot be an employee that does the bare minimum because you claim that faith is enough and God fights for you. Likewise, you cannot rely on your own wits and resources and fail to acknowledge God in your day to day. Our theme scripture tells us that it is our responsibility to be prepared, but victory belongs to the Lord because many details are put intricately into play as it pertains to every trade.
Child of God preparation could look like applying for that job, training for that game, taking that course or serving in that department. Whatever the case, do your part and acknowledge the Lord in all your ways, the labor of your hands will never be vain (Proverbs 3:6).
Praise the Lord.
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I am disciplined in all my ways and I know that faith without works is dead for you are a God that commends work. Help me, give me wisdom and understanding that I may do all that I do as unto God, in Jesus name. Amen!
