THE POWER OF EVANGELISM
“I pray that your participation in the faith may become effective through knowing every good thing that is in us for the glory of Christ.” Philemon 1:6 CSB
There are so many ways to keep fanning the flames of personal revival and consistent personal devotion to God, but one of the most effective ways I have experienced is through sharing Christ with others. Many don’t want to do this, many think that’s a responsibility for preachers or those in the pulpit only, but that is not so. There are several scriptures in the Bible that prove how much one is refreshed from refreshing others.
In proverbs 11:25 speaks of the prosperity of a generous soul and how those who refresh others are they themselves refreshed, and many a time this will only be used in the context of material generosity. It is not merely limited to that, in fact material blessings are the lowest form of generosity because they deal with mere carnal needs that don’t necessarily place a demand on the spirit. That is why the apostle Peter boldly says: silver and gold I have not but what I have I give you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk (Acts 3:6). What a powerful possession!!
Child of God, you may not have the most extravagant materialistic means to be given but let that never limit your perception of generosity. Christ is your most prized possession just as you are his, and if you can give Christ, you have given ALL. Selah!
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wonderful wisdom. I thank you for the holy spirit and the unction I have received through him to boldly proclaim that which I have believed. Stir me towards my opportunities to be generous in this manner and I will open my mouth that you may fill it. I rejoice greatly in sharing the hope that makes not ashamed, to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
