THE POWER OF SALVATION
“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10 NIV
Though the world may distort the concept of marriage, it remains a sacred picture of God’s covenant—one that embodies purity, joy, and celebration.
Ultimately, all of God’s people are in a relationship with Him, often described as a marriage, to illustrate the intimacy that comes from Christ dwelling in us. This is reflected in our theme scripture, which highlights the power of salvation and living in a right relationship with God.
Child of God, understand that salvation is like a garment that makes you righteous. It clothes us—once tainted by sin—with purity and righteousness through God’s grace. Nothing can add to or diminish His perfect sacrifice; and such is the privilege that one who fails to rejoice always and giving thanks, fails to recognize!
Prayer: Father, I thank you for this blessed opportunity. May I always fasten my garments of praise as a bride forever to the one who redeemed my soul. My worship is from a sincere heart and with holy hands lifted, to the glory of your name. Amen!
