WHAT TO HEAR
“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” Hebrews 2:1 NIV
A wise farmer fences their plantation to protect it from wandering animals and harm.
Similarly, in Luke 8:11, the Word is likened to a seed that grows as we are taught. Paul urges us to protect what we hear, as the seed can be stolen, damaged, or lost if not guarded carefully. Without protection, we may forget or lose its impact—leading to spiritual drift.
Child of God, let it be said of you that you are not only a hearer of the Word but also a doer!
Prayer: Father, I thank you for this counsel. I am a child of light and my light shines ever so bright as I hear and are transformed by the power of your word. It will be said of me that I bore the fruit of what you have sowed in me, to the glory of your name. Amen! CI.
