THE PRAYER OF FAITH
“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16 NKJV
Every child of God has received the righteousness of God through Christ.
When we speak of the prayer a righteous man, it is not from a special man/ woman of God, it is rather, a prayer of faith. Anyone born again who has faith to believe with you and for you in a particularly difficult situation, is a righteous man.
It does of course not negate the authority and ranking of our wonderful spiritual leaders, and if you have a way to connect to such do not hold back, but do not stifle your own and others faith.This applies to confessing sin, opening up about different struggles and temptations because the strength of sin is in secrecy. God’s strategy is best when experienced, for the enemy works hard to isolate you that shame and guilt may consume you.
Scripture assures us that when we call to Him He will answer (Psalm 91:15). Believe in your Father’s word above all things and you will see that His word is true.
Prayer: Father I thank you for this wisdom. I thank you for the life you grant me in community with fellow members of the body. I thank you that where there is unity you command a blessing and healing. May it be said of me that I honored you with actions and prayers of faith, in Jesus name. Amen!
